A Toy Drive with West London Welcome

This winter, I organized a toy drive at my school, Godolphin and Latymer, to support children and families connected to West London Welcome. With the help of the school community, we collected toys that were delivered to children living in temporary accommodation across West London.

The gifts were distributed in time for Christmas and reached children of all ages under 18. In total, toys were delivered to around 285 children, helping bring moments of joy during a time that can be especially difficult for families who are new to the UK.

West London Welcome shared that the donations also allowed them to support several partner organizations, extending the impact of the drive beyond one location. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who contributed, and to West London Welcome for the work they do every day to support refugee, migrant, and asylum-seeking families.

This project reminded me how much small, collective actions can matter. I’m proud of what our school community was able to do together.
